Guatemala Mission Update: JULY 2026

As we reflect on our time in Guatemala so far, our hearts are full. Every day has brought new opportunities to see God at work and to be reminded that ministry is simply loving people the way Christ loves us.

One of the greatest privileges has been teaching students from kindergarten through 12th grade. We've shared with them that they are wonderfully made, deeply loved by God, and that their lives have purpose in Him. Seeing their smiles, hearing their questions, and watching them eagerly participate has been such an encouragement. Our prayer is that the seeds planted will continue to grow long after we're gone.

We've also spent time visiting elderly men and women in their homes. Sitting with them, listening to their stories, praying together, and reminding them they are not forgotten has been incredibly meaningful.

Their faith, gratitude, and joy despite difficult circumstances have encouraged us just as much as we hoped to encourage them.

Another special part of this trip has been taking lunches out to men and women working in the fields. Many spend long days laboring under the hot Guatemalan sun to provide for their families.

Being able to offer a meal, share a smile, a prayer and remind them that God sees their hard work has been a simple but powerful way to show Christ's love in a tangible way.

We've also had the joy of reconnecting with dear friends and making new ones. Watching our boys play with local children and seeing the genuine hugs exchanged with families we've come to love reminds us that the body of Christ truly has no borders. These relationships are one of the greatest blessings of serving here.

Ministry isn't always found behind a pulpit and rarely is. It is found around a classroom table, on a dirt road leading to someone's home, beside a field during a lunch break, or in a warm embrace that says, "You are loved."

Thank you for praying, giving, and walking alongside our family. Because of your support, we are able to be here sharing the hope of Jesus with people of all ages.

Please continue praying for the students, the elderly, the families we visit, and the workers we meet each day. Pray that each person would not only remember us, but more importantly, remember the truth that they are deeply loved by God.

We are so thankful to be a small part of what God is doing in Guatemala, and we can't wait to share more of His faithfulness in the days ahead.
